Joel Aaron Thaler is an Associate in the firm's Fort Myers office. He is a Florida native, born and raised in Miami, FL. Mr. Thaler acquired his Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from the University of Florida. Thereafter, he obtained his Juris Doctor from Florida International University College of Law.

During law school, Mr. Thaler clerked for an admiralty and transportation law firm, where he assisted with legal research and drafting various legal documents for filing in United States District Courts. While clerking, he assisted with litigating breach of fiduciary duty lawsuits, fraud lawsuits, cargo lawsuits, and subrogation lawsuits. Additionally, while clerking, Mr. Thaler edited and updated multiple chapters from the legal textbook, "Benedict on Admiralty," and multiple chapters from the 7-volume legal treatise, "Sorkin on Goods in Transit."

Following law school, Mr. Thaler worked in-house for Kemper, a highly-acclaimed insurance company, managing a 400+ caseload. At Kemper, his caseload mainly entailed Personal Injury Protection (PIP) cases.

Accordingly, Mr. Thaler has significant experience in admiralty law, transportation law, and insurance law, and in a continuous effort to vigorously advocate for clients, he tirelessly works to further expand his knowledge and expertise in these areas.
